C5-C4 question

I have a transmission number Rf-E2AP-7006-AA I believe is a C5. I need to know what all has to be done to run this behind a 302 4x4 using the 1350 t-case in a BII. I have changed the bellhousing to a c4 164tooth housing. I also need to figure out if a non-lockup torque converter will be able to be used in this trans??? The guy I got the trans off of claims he changed the valve body to a c-4 valve body but im not sure i trust him... I want to make sure that he did change the valve body to a c-4's... how can I tell the difference between the old c-5 VB and a c-4 VB??

A C5 in its original state will have a bump in the pan for the pickup on the oil filter, a normal flat C4 pan will NOT fit with the C5 filter. I would imagine that a C5 pan will fit with a C4 VB/filter though, aside from the bump it looks identical to the pan on my C4. The C5 filter is secured with one bolt, the C4 has a couple more.

I am going a V8 C5 with my swap.

I THINK all you have to do to switch back and forth is switch the VB, filter and TQ... don't hold me to it though.

That's interesting... because the trans number is a c5 and my pan definately does not look like that with the hump in it... my best guess is it's a c5 with the valve body swapped out. Thanks for the info!
