Is there any source for an internally-regulated/1-wire alternator that will fit the 2.9?

If no, I'll just go grab an alt & reg-box from the junkyard, but if there is a 1-wire mod option, I'd rather have that than the stock externally-regulated...

I'm not sure about the mounting brackets on the 2.9 but I used an internally regulated one from an early eighties gm on my 2.8, it only needed a spacer on the top bolt.

Your 2.9 would have an internally regulated alternator. A good upgrade would be a 3g alt from a 3.8L taurus. There are writeups all over the internet about going from 2g (what your 2.9 has) to 3g. I just did it about a month ago, totally worth it.
