I just won a Warn M8000 at a 4X4 event. I want to mount it on my 1997 Ranger. I wanted to buy one but I don't think anyone sells them anymore. I have a well equipped shop and fab skills so I'm thinking of manning up and making one. I'm looking for ideas, show me what ya got.

I found a nice one on Pirate. Now I need to decide if I want to spend more money on the Ranger or take the easy way out and buy a Rubicon. Besides, a winch bumper for the TJ is cheaper.

I was going to do that winch bumper thingie as well...but went this way instead...I had put a 2 inch front receiver on my 99 Ranger some years back and I have a potable winch mount that I can put on the back hitch or on the front hitch wherever it is needed. I can then remove it and put it back on the garage when not needed. Here is the bumper I had made that I never mounted. I went to mount it several times and then changed my mind and sold it for $200 more then I paid for. I still kick myself fo doing so...but I just was never 100% sure I was going to like the bumper. It was a nice bumper that a Samuira guy makes for his club and he built this to my specs!!! I had to weld mounts on it and that was all it needed. I painted it with a good spray paint and it came out great!!! Duhhhhhh, I wish I could fint that guy again and have him build this bumber for me again.

Giant photo loading!!! Here is my front 2 inch Reese hitch....a great invesment for $60 with shipping on Ebay.
