I put 99 ranger 60/40 seats in my 97 ranger but now the "plugs" do not match since the 99 seats have the seatbelt built into the seat and are the newer style.

what would be the best way of fixing this? im thinking maybe getting an adapter to covert or cutting the seatbelt and putting the new buckle on and stiching it back together.

I would get a adapter, I wouldn't suggest trying to stitch up a set, your stitches might not be strong enough.

where would I find an adapter? I was going to go to the junkyard cut some seat belt fabric and grab 2 plugs and 2 buckles for each seat and then get a seamstress to do the work using the appropriate thread. but maybe they make something like this????:icon_confused:

if you go to a JY, just UnBolt the new belts, I would in no way trust having a set re-sewn, and unless you go to a factory that has heavy duty machines, a home or even a light commercial machine wouldn't handle going through the two layers of belt.

I don't know if someone makes a adapter, but if they do, that would be the best way.

already thought of that one but unfortunately the bolts are stripped/rust-welded il look into it more since this is obviously not an easy task to find.

Don't get an adapter, just go to the JY and find the WHOLE proper coupler you need.
