Has anyone used a performance chip that made a real difference. How is it installed?

I've been wondering if it would do anything for my daily driver, or should I save my money for something more useful?

Save your money.

BII mod list WORTH the money, somewhat in order

1. Dana 35
2.4.0
3.8.8 Rear
4.Lift
5.Extended Arms
6.Cup holders specifically for beer
7.Tinted windows for better boob-seeing chances
8.TRS Stickers

What direction are you taking with your truck?

Currently it's a daily driver. I just recently removed the A$LD and put in the M50D. Next on the list is replace the BW1350 E with a BW1354 E. (I'd rather have manual, but can't find one at the moment. I have an 8.8 to put in after I swap the ring and pinion gears. I also have a 4.0 from a 92 expl, but want to recondition it before I swap in. Thought I had a dana 35 from the Expl, but after I started looking under the mud and crud discovered some moron had replaced the original 8.8 and D35 with stuff from a BII. (D28, exc)

Here in Oklahoma we get more Ice than snow, and where I live, a lot of mud. I plan to start taking off road after I make some of the mods, there's just not that many places near by at the moment.
Before I do the 4.0 swap, I want to run the 2.9 for a little while, since it's in pretty good shape.

Posi trac rear, locker front
The jet chip is nice is for the 4.0 but not needed, it's wasted money really. There ain't a lot to do with the 4.0. The 4.0 is awesome in te b2. You won't need mods. Especially if you're used to the 2.9
