im new to the forums and i love rangers but i dont have one lookin for a cheap one with the 2.3 engine, if any one has any advice or help please let me know, thanks

first, Welcome to TRS!!!
now, did you check the classifieds forum here? next would be craig's list or the equivalent where you live. also the local papers in their classifieds section. last would be ebay. sometimes you can get lucky on there and find what you're wanting for the right price and close enough to make it worth the drive... sometimes.
honestly, if you have the money and the time, i'd be looking in southern california, nevada, and arizona to find a truck with no rust on the body and a decent drivetrain. would be worth it to fly out and drive it back home, imho. i know this because i've done it. anyway, good luck to you and have fun exploring all there is to offer here on TRS.

Welcome, from all I've read, the 2.3 is a stout little engine. Spend some time here and you'll learn all you need to know about Rangers.
