Welcome one and all!!

This is my very first build thread, so bare with me.

Let the build begin! :icon_welder:

We'll start off with some bone stock pics. Visit my car domain site to view..

On to the build stuff.

First things first...the new winch bumper. I ordered it from James at RLC Welding in Louisville, KY. Thanks a bunch James, it looks amazing!

Here it is just after I signed for it....it's smiling at me! lol

From outside the door...

With the X in the background

All unwrapped in the basement

The receiver hitch

The tow points...they'll have clevases installed once the bumper is on the truck

A fuzzy pic of the amazing weld job

All the mounting hardware is included

A view from the top of the winch mounting point

A view from the top of what will be the left side once on the truck

The mounting bracket. There are 2 sets of holes, one set for stock height and the other accomodates a 2" body lift

View from the back..

Full view from the back

That's all I have for now, I'll be posting as it progresses. Thanks for checking it out!! :D

LOL!! You have the same first name as me.

It weighs about 65lbs....at least, that's what it said on the shipping papers.

And the hole for the hitch is indeed in the back.

lol....figures. As i hit the "post" button i thought about that.

I'm thinking about either the Smittybilt XRC8 or this: http://www.warn.com/truck/winches/src/tabor_9k.shtml

Thing is, I have a heavy duty bush bar that's going to be installed on the front..so i don't think i'll have room for roller fairleads....so i was thinking about going with the "roller-less" deal that superwinch has. Superwinch has one that i'd really love, but i'm not shelling out $1200 for a winch just yet.

That rollerless fairlead is likely for synthetic line. Bumper looks sweet though!

UPDATE!

Had the bumper and bush bar sandblasted yesterday. They're sitting at the backyard body shop now. Going to be pulling the factory bumper off either tomorrow(Friday) or some time this weekend. :icon_bounceblue:
