On my buddies 92 auto explorer his rpm gauge is stuck at 3k rpms and barely moves once he is driving around. How can this be fixed? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Take the gauge apart and see if it needs to be reseated on the needle, you might have to get a new needle, I have a 88 ranger, that one day I was going down the road doing 70, in 5th gear, and only turning 500 rpm's, then when I stopped it idled at minus 100 rpm's, the back of the needle had come apart and I had to fix the needle.
