well the other day i jacked my truck up to see what the problem with it was and found it to be a stuck rear break..it has been cold here so i don't know if it a factor or not. anyways changed both the rear drum breaks the right one came off easy but the bad one came off hard..changed that and it still was a little tight when i put the thing over it.now the truck actually works better but the brake is still getting hot and rubbing a little bit..is this going to be normal till it breaks in or whats the problem?

i think that its you parking brake cable that is sticking. changing the pads and stuff wont help much. the cable needs thawing or lubrication.

Sticky parking brake cables were a problem on my Ranger also...not sure if I ever solved it on the old truck but I can remember yanking that cable to try to free them up...I could tell they were sticking becuase the truck felt like it was dragging something...after a few yanks on the cable it was OK...

Just finished replacing the cables on my new truck but haven't tested it yet...hope they don't stick...because everything is new!
