I have two V8 Rangers...one 2wd 351W truck with 3.23's and 27.5" tires...this is an AWESOME cruising machine. Gobs of torque make the 3.23's a decent street gear. I had 3.91's and they sucked for cruisability...but that's just my opinion. Just felt like you were always leaning into the throttle to keep it rolling.
The other truck is a 1988 4wd w/ 302, 31" tires and 3.73's. It had 235's on it when first built...the gearing is much better with the taller tires. All I do with this truck is haul coal and wood. So it's short trips...usually only see's about 1K miles per year.
