1985 B2 5 spd Shift lever needed

Got the truck up and running perfect after the Duraspark conversion (took me like 4 months)... Twice around the block, the little plastic ball on the bottom of the shift lever and plastic inside the rounded top broke into pieces. What can I replace the stock junk with? why did they use plastic?? help, pleeezzzze! want to go 4X4! :bawling:

1st of all, congrats on the Duraspark! Best mod ever for the 2.8... :headbang:

Why did they use plastic, who knows??? :icon_confused:

I may possibly have at least a shifter with good plastic, I think mine came off of an '84 with a TK5 trans. On the other piece, are you talking about the plastic piece that the plastic ball works back & forth in?
