Mirror Swap

I have an 01 Ranger XLT. Would I be able to swap the lighted side view mirrors off of, say, the same era explorer? If so, does anybody know where I could wire in the power supply? Dome light possibly?

yes u could since its the same mirror type. and i think u should look for line in the fuse panel for the light dome, instead of taking it from the dome lol. i remember taking out the dome fuse a couple times, but i cant remember the fuse #.

u could look for the mirros with integrated turn signal. they came on the Thundebolt Ranger

LOL yeah, that's what i meant coming from the fuse block. I was looking at the explorer mirrors that have the lights on the bottom. Puddle lights? I think I've seen them called. However the integrated turn signals would be hawt. (That's a "Paris Hilton" hot. Note the "aw") LOL

yeah ive seen the mirrors u say. i think u could make em that way too

i want to do mine, bu all i can find is red and blue leds, or green. and thats not what i want

I know it looks trick, but what is the point really? That's what turn signals are for. Understandable if u already need new mirrors I suppose.
