hey guys i'm not a chev guy but this car is really turnin my head.my boss bought two for all his employee,s to drive for a week my week is over tommorow i dont know if i will be able to let it go there is something to be said for @ 426horse 420 foot pounds of torque.man that is one sweet package and it's the transformer edition this car rocks !!! it's the wildest car i have ever driven. if someone you trust driving offers you a ride jump in and enjoy.
 
wait until u test the mustang shelby GT 500,540 hp.
popular mechanics did a test of both cars a while ago on the bonneville flats. they removed the speed lmiters and the camaro got 279km/h as a top speed, while the mustang went 295km/h
 
ya we are all hopping thats what he buys this year but we never know till the year end party in febuary thats allways his choice

I am not a car guy, most of my driving career has been centered around lumbering 4x4 trucks that scrape mirrors on pavement on hard turns. I have no experiance with M3's or GT-500's, but I have driven my brother's '11 GT. It is a riot to drive, words cannot discribe it really.

Motortrend compared the two cars, and it wasn't a huge difference between them, especially for the difference in price.

An extra liter to make less HP. And frankly, you can get a good used M3 for under 20 grand, or spend in the mid 30's for a NEW mustang that will equal at best. But of course depreciate way faster and still not be as comfy or beautiful.

Nor is it a BMW. That actually means something to people that appreciate cars and not just brands.

Plus, can we get a comparo from someone that DOESN'T take massive advertising money from Ford?

Seriously, the new mustang beat out the M3 in every way except interior quality......

And a M3 thats under 30K will not hold a candle to the new Mustang.

The M3 or any other BMW for that matter looks like just about every other car on the road... BLAH. They look like a knockoff GTO (dunno who would claim that as theirs first, I wouldn't) Calling one beautiful is a major stretch of the word.

If you appreciated cars and not brands you wouldn't be so stuck on the fact that the Mustang isn't a BMW.

The BMW still won, not by enough IMO to justify its price tag. And if a good used one can be had for $20k it must either be a pretty old car or their value drops like a rock. I would much rather pay $30k for a brand new car, than the same money for a 10-15 year old car that is equal at best at a road race (which I wouldn't do seriously anyway)

For the difference in money alone (not even counting the M3's history) it should have been a blow out, it wasn't and I am not surprised that it gets under BMW owners skins.

Not the same cars as what he's talking about. It was the basic 2010 camaro and a 2010 gt 500. Not evenly matched. Im a mustang fan, but GM just outdid ford again. LIke usual.
