What is the best way to get a carfax?

I went to get a carfax this morning . I have AAA I went though there website. There did not appear to be any discount. the price was 5 for $44 or 1 for $34?.....any places to get a discount...are there other services like carfax that are good but less money......thanks in advance

Well, give it a little time, and someone around here typically has free ones for 30 days, etc. etc... do you have any friends who work at a car dealership? They can get it for you too...

There is a cheaper one called autocheck I think... I got that one some years ago, it was $15 for one lookup or $30 for unlimited lookups for 90 days or something similar.

Yeah, just wait a bit. Someone around here usually comes up with a 30 day unlimited and offers to share.

I was able to find someone and paid them $7 thru paypal for a carfax. I think carfax is fast becoming the KBB of auto history. There is a new company out there doing it forless than $7. I might try them next
