Hey guys I just bled my hydro clutch and I still don't have any clutch function lines are full no air and nothing I think it is either the Master cylinder or the slave itself. any one else have this problem? thanks

northerncountry: I just went through and did my clutch replacement with slave cylinder. It was a booger to get bled. I would imagine if you cracked the bleed valve and held your finger (w/rubber glove so fluid does not get introduced) and had someone gently step on the clutch peddel, and if fluid comes out under pressure, that would be an indication the master was ok. Otherwise check the posts. One suggested along the same lines but remove the rubber inspection cover, have someone again depress clutch and see if slave cylinder is allowing clutch to disengage.
Good Luck

well here is the update. my line got bled that wasn't the problem so I put on a new master cylinder and that isn't it so the last link is the slave cylinder. I did some calling around and the lowest price I could find to get it taken care of is just shy of $1,000. can you say HOLY @#$&. So what I am going to do is take my truck to the auto hobby shop on base and my dad and I are going to replace the slave cylinder, clutch, throw out bearing, pilot bearing and any thing else that I see with all the new parts the grand tenitive total is right around $220 so all the labor is going to cost me is whatever amount of time in the shop on the lift. ( I think it's lik $2.50 an hour) plus the cost of beer ( DAD) so hopefully I will have a better under standing of the clutch/slave cylinder. Thanks for the good luck Fordsforever I am gonna need it.
