alright so right now i have a 94 xlt ex cab 4.0 5 speed with a 1354E tcase, and i want to go to a 302. i would love to keep a 5 speed but would i see better mileage with a aod and adapter? its not too big of a concern but i want to go fuel injection too.
what is the best engine transmission transfer case combo?
302 with AOD and adapter to stock tcase? (seems easiest)
but what 5 speed tranny could i use and keep the 4x4?
i dont want to modify the frame
but i heard that the AOD is very capable of mpgs you wont see with anything else, or is there a 5 speed that you can get similar with?
