Anybody switch all their lights out for LEDs? Any power bleed problems?

My parking lights faintly flash with my turn signals and hazards. This only happens when my parking lights and headlights are off.

My highmount from LMC comes on faintly whenever I turn the key causing the PCM to think the brakes are on.

Im pretty sure it might be because im pulling too little power. Any solutions in mind? Resistors maybe?

I would think a resistor or 2 (say, 68-100 ohms @ 2 watts) across the bulbs would solve it, though I don't have much personal experience with LED conversions beyond the dome light, so no guarantee.

I read about this when I researched making the switch. I read that there is low voltage "bleeding over" when the Halogens are in there , but you only notice it with the LED's because of the low power requirements. A resistor would probably help, but may decrease the intensity when they are supposed to be on. I also read that when they are on a board with several LED's it's less likely to happen because of the increased power requirement.

It is completely normal though.....

My dad was wondering if we swaped out the fuse for the lights for a lower amp fuse, if that would possibly step down the voltage somehow?

No. A fuse only protects circuits from pulling too much current. You're going to have to install the required resistor in order to lower the voltage. Be careful though, if you install a resistor with too low of a wattage rating for what you are using it for....it will fail quickly.

Just to clarify, the resistor goes across the bulb socket (parallel with it) to draw down any residual voltage in the circuit when it's supposed to be off. It does not lower the voltage going to the lamp while lit, and will not affect it's brightness at all.

Thanks for the info guys. Ill let you know if the resistor thing works whenever I get the time to do it
