Hey guys, i've got a 1994 Ford Ranger XLT 2wd 2.3 4banger. The guy that had it before me put like 2 sizes too small of a tire on it and i'm bout to wear'em out so i can get some new ones. I'm fixin to go to college next year and want to keep the good mileage of my 4 banger, but maybe put a lift and tires on it so it won't look so gay. I'm on a budget, so i'm thinkin about a 3 inch body lift with 15x8 Mickey Thompson classic bullet holed with 31" BFG mud terrains. What are ya'lls thoughts about the tire size and would i need to change rear end gearing. Also anybody that's got this truck with a body lift, plz let me see the pics. Thanx

Are you going to go mudding? AT's are much more user friendly for a daily driver than MT's, and cheaper as well.

If your trucks got 3.73's you'll be ok with 31's. You'll definately notice a slight power difference especially with the 4cyl. I agree with 85_ the AT's are probably a better bet.

Not the same generation but here's my Ranger with just a 3" body lift and 235 AT's.

hey thanx for the info! I do think i'll go with the all terrains. Mud terrains wear out too fast and they cost too much. And also, if i don't go with the lift, what is the biggest tire i can fit without it? 30's or 31's? thanx

235's or 30's will work.
