95 mustang 5.0 swap into my ranger help

Hey guys I'm New here and I'm lost already I have a 97 ranger that I'm putting the motor out of a 95 mustang 5.0 And I'm lost on what harness I need to use. The truck has a 4 banger in it know. And I really don't want to buy the one from summit $525 hahaha. Can anyone point me in the right direction or call me 8322454369 Joseph
 
Use the one from the Mustang, or any other '87-'95 Mustang.

They go for $100 used, same for the ECU.

If you are using mass air (which is STRONGLY suggested) your options are 89-95 Mustang (or an 88 California car).
 
Ok I have the wiring harness for the motor but the plug is square and the plug on the truck is rectangle how does this work what am I missing here
 
Wire the Mustang harness into the engine side of the Range 42-pin square plug.

Time for some wiring diagrams/EVTMs/Harwood swap manual.
 
First off how hard is it second can anyone walk me threw it third if not can someone if send me or post any info you have or even better someone to talk to about doing it for me
