8.8 differential

Does anyone know if all 8.8 factory limited slip differentials will interchange between each others housings?
I would like to swap out my non limited slip with one from a mustang.

If you care to go through that much trouble yes the carriers will swap, assuming both axles are 28 spline (pretty sure mustangs were 28 spline?)
 
Yup, Rangers, and Mustangs are 28 spline. As well as Aerostars and Thunderbirds. Pretty much everything else is 31 spline.
