Well I ran the Engine for the intial 20 min break in period on Sunday. I could not get the oil pressure unit to work. I Started it a couple of more times to check the solenoid (I got it to work). Tonight went out to change oil after intial break in. The oil filter was dry.
The oil was clean in the Engine with a little bit of sludge in the bottom a few minor metal filings on the magnet on the drain plug. Plenty of oil in the oil pan. I filled the engine with oil again but left the oil filter off to see if it would pump oil out. Zip Zero nada. I did not get any knocking when I ran the Engine and it still sounds "good". Any ideas on what is going on?
I really don't want to pull the Engine but if I need to, "you do what you gotta do"!

At least I haven't thrown a rod yet and the system as a whole works. Salvage as much as I can and drive on
Tranny still works, starter OK, Headers etc OK, pipes sounded cool. I guess I will spend a couple of long week ends getting it fixed! The wife ain't gonna like it, but such is life. It will be easier to redo because I have every think fitting! I need to clean all the crap oout of the garage first so I can work easier. The wife will be a little happy about that!
