It all depends if you got the flex fuel 3.0 or the normal 3.0. I'm pretty sure there was still an option for it. One way to look is at the gas door and see if it says the vehicle can use e85. If you get the 8th digit of the VIN and tell me what it is i should be able to find out for you.

rangers were available with flex fuel from 99-03....so...no your truck isnt e-85 compatible.
