02 FX4 vs. 03 FX4 LII

I am looking at two trucks, an 02 FX4 twin stick with 61,xxx miles, and an 03 FX4 LII auto with 99,xxx. Both trucks are the same color, same price, both in excellent condition, two owner, I am wondering which route to go? I enjoy both stick and autos, I want the truck that is the better buy and will give me the least amount of trouble. Minimal towing, some light offroad, and moderate commuting will be done in the truck. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

The level II has 31 spline axles I think, so its a little bit stronger. However if your just doing mostly street use with light off roading, for the same price I'd probably go with just the 02 FX4. It'll be a little better on gas, plus its got almost 40 000 miles less.

Definitely go with the '02... Less miles, twin stick, same price as one with more miles that's a stupid automatic, whats not to like?

How are those automatics, do they run a long time? As far as the 5 speed, he said the clutch has already been replaced, are they problematic? Thanks!

If he's already replaced the clutch then he doesn't know how to drive a stick. I'd be a little wary on the trans and such in that '02. The '03 with more miles has it's own list of issue when it comes to the auto.
