Special allowance for electric powered off-roaders?

An electric motor is still a motor...

Since I can't afford to have my "bread & butter" Ranger broken (too badly), this is the one I abuse.

I made it's rear locker by strategically placing a small metal screw between the plastic gears. This lasted alot longer than expected. I then made a spool piece out of a bic pen barrel. That worked a while, but then I had to reinforce that with a section of 44cal pistol casing. Total upgrade/repairs: $0.00 and still alot of fun.

sounds like a cool idea! i have this ford expedition, but the diferential gears make a loud click when it goes in reverse. i think its because i made it drift in the sand by engagin reverse while it was going forward(dumb me LOL)

I used to do that with my RC car all the time.

Two great big rooster tails until the thing stopped and changed directions.

That darn thing did everything, rear tires are now about slicks and the front wheel bushings are SHOT but it still goes great.
