Hello, i bought a 1989 Ranger STX (4x4 standard) and was wondering what it will take to put in a v8? It has the 2.9L standard in it now with 290XXX kms on it but is running ok so far. But i was thinking about spending the money i previously was planning to save to buy a new sportscar, into making this thing into a 4x4 beast. I have some pics, but i at the moment dont have a way to get them on the computer (my profile pic is not the truck).
Bassically, i was wondering what you guys thought of the idea and what it would cost to do it. I am not that great with mechanics so i most likely would have to have a garage do it for me. And where should i go to get the parts? Will i be doing the tranny and others too? etc.
Thanks and if you have any other info that i forgot to ask about, please let me know. Body is in ok shape (few dents, normal rust for year. Overal not bad). Im working on getting pics up soon

. Do a lot of resurch before you start your build. Surf around the forum and the tech library and see what other people have done. Have fun with your build.
