Looks promising. How about some details? Future plans? Goals for the truck?

Looks promising. How about some details? Future plans? Goals for the truck?

future plans(realistically)
-35x12.50r15 Open Country AT
-15x8 Mickey Thompson Classic Locks
-paint fiberglass panels
-spindle lift
-preunner bumper/skidplate

distant future plans
-Camburg Long Travel
-3-linked rear end

Sounds good! Are you going to run 35s with only the spindles or are you going to do some work to the rear also? And on stock gears or going to regear the rear axle? Might be sluggish with stock gearing and 35's.

Have you been over to DezertRangers.com yet? BTF Fabrication makes amazing suspension for Rangers for much less then the bigger fab companies (Camburg, BMS, etc.). The guy that runs BTF is user NODNARB on the forums. You should hit them up I think you'll like what they do!

Looks like a cool project. Keep us updated with pics when you change something!

Dark Shadow is Sick...

Tough truck... Love your ride! Your set up is sick!

I'm lining things up to build a black Ranger 4x4 automatic w/ a 4 1/2 wide long travel suspension in the front.

Love how the off set of your wheels and tires, and how you put the Ranger badge on the bottom of the door.

Question:

1. What size tire and wheel did you end up rolling with that I see pictured on your truck?
2. What size wheels are you running?
3. Are you happy with the wear of the tires you went with? KUMHO Road Venture AT?
4. Is there anything you would do differently?

Thanks for any details...

Unfortunately this thread is 3 years old. Don't hold your breath for answers.

ps; welcome to TRS.

35x12.50r17 on 17x9 wheels.

I didn't like my Kumho's very much. The ProComp Extreme AT's I put on after were much better. My new truck (4x4) now has Goodyear MTR Kevlar's which I absolutely love.

Everything I wanted to do differently, I did with my new 4x4 ranger.
