I think they still sell some candy. Buy $30 worth of candy.

As an active musician, I honestly have no problem with that, especially if it's just someone who wants to check it out. If you don't like it, you shouldn't be obligated to pay for it. I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't feel this way.

On the other hand, I am all for supporting the artist for their time and hard work. If there's a particular CD that I really like, and listen to frequently, I will buy it because it's worthy of my spending. Or, if I've already bought it, but lost it or ended up stolen... CD prices are rediculous, though.

I'd probably buy a video game. I'm actually stuck on the last level of Scarface, fun game, but I have no clue how I got past some parts with no cheats. =/

Honestly, it's massively difficult to make anything significant as a musician. There really isn't any excuse for stealing the stuff. Do the math -- union scale is $75 per hour per person. If you don't have recordings to sell, how many 3 hour gigs do you need every week to clear $25,000? Keep in mind that almost all gigs are Friday and Saturday nights, so if you need more than two a week, you're SOL. Or you're selling recordings.....which is kinda pointless if people steal them.

I got sick of spending $15 to get a CD with maybe 2 good songs on it. Of course other than the couple they play on the radio the rest of them are a crapshoot, and if you don't like it you are still stuck with it. Hence why I got dual exhaust and have had the radio on maybe half a dozen times since I picked it up 2 weeks ago.

Then DON'T BUY THE CD. Just don't steal it either. No one MAKES you listen to them.

You can never make an argument that a specific CD is a necessity. Do without, or better yet, make your own music.

There are quite a number of tracks legitimately available on the Web. Just not often by the top 40 "artists" (and I use that term loosely there). If you have to have the latest thing, pay for it.

And there is always iTunes or singles if you really must have single tracks.

There is NO EXCUSE FOR STEALING ENTERTAINMENT. It has value. If you don't believe that, MAKE YOUR OWN. Ain't so easy, is it?

I don't steal, I don't buy CD's very often and it doesn't take a genius to figure out what why people want to buy music by the song rather than by the album, and if they find a free place to get it in the meantime...

Get a music cd that has a song or two that you like. Or better yet, get a new LED 3watt Maglite. I don't know if BestBuy does sell one, but I picked up one for 25.99 and love it. Besides, it can be used to beat somebody in the head with.

I'm a big fan of iTunes. I buy the songs I like/want. I don't listen to whole albums either, so I buy the one or two songs I like at .99 cents each. I don't steal music, or anything else. I doubt you guys would like if someone took something small out of your truck that seems like it's not important. Stealing is stealing.

One of my best friends is an actor (he's been if a few movies, anyone remember Passiondale(sp?)?). He's starting out, and he's not even a mention in the credits, but everyone has to start somewhere. He's working hard and making shit all. Another friend of mine is in a small bad that has done some touring with other smaller bands, all thier cd's is where they make thier money from, and they're starving basically. I have been playing around on Limewire at a friends place, and typed this bands name in, and I basically pulled the entire cd off it. I know these guys, and I know how they live, CD sales are basically whats keeping them going from paycheck to paycheck. I have well over 150 CD's and none of them are burned, and none of them are copied, the only music I have on my computer are prerelease demo's that they send me, and whatever I have recorded onto my computer from CD. A lot of my music is from small bands that no one have ever heard of. Bands that I really like, and if people just download thier music then the band's can survive and they go under. Does anyone remember Sublime? In thier first year in the mainstream, they only took home about $20 000 each after all was said and done, after recording costs, renting costs, travel costs. (I dont' like them) but they put a lot of hard work into thier music and they basically got paid the same as if they were flipping burgers at burger king. Not everyone who is famous is rich, just because a musician is big, doesn't mean they bring in the big money.

When my friend was in the movie passiondale, they made him pay is training, after he got paid and everything after about 6 weeks on the set, he made about $100 after everything. Thats six weeks of unemployment for $100, in hopes that it gets his name out there and he can work up to bigger and better. In the future, downloading movies may kill his career because of budget cuts because of lost profits to the main company.

wireless keyboard/mouse set...mine was $30 at office depot and i like it, i would imagine best buy would have something similar. other than that, i would just sit on it. it wont hurt to hang on to it, then when you need it you will be happy you had it. the maglite sounds cool too though
