.
The Louisiana Relay.........

sloppy pic of the speedometer before the trip to Alexandria starts.....I'll get the Banner from ADSMODEAN there at 2p.m. Saturday....

UPDATE: crossing the Mississippi Ribba at Baton Rouge Louisiana.......

a pic of Baton Rouge...looking up-river toward Natchez Mississippi.....

about 120 miles north of New Orleans--the EASY RIDER cafe was torn down--only a couple old buildings remain in the town of Morganza where the movie was filmed...

about 150 miles from into the trip--crossing the Atchafalaya River--supposed to be one of the deepest rivers in the world???

looking up-river at some rusted out train-bridge.........

another river---crossing over it into Alexandria Louisiana--about 180 miles into the trip---ADSMODEAN will be waiting for me on the other side wit da Banner!!!!

I........uhhhhh.......He.....found me....we glued the Banner to the '36 Ranger windshield......

speedometer pic at the relay site..........

ASDMODEAN like the truck--so i sold it to him for $500 and he threw in the last bridge i took a picture of......He told me--just sign below my name to make the sale Official.....

here he is beside his new truk.............................

it all happened so fast---here i am tryin not to cry......

Man! He keeps changin the way he spells his name!!!!

I really think it snowed about 20 minute before I passed this field on my way back thru Natchez Miss-sippi........

i thought this was my house----i was wr...wr....wrong......it belonged to the town sheriff--he showed me how to get back on the black-top.....

2 hours after me & ASMODEAN say goodbye.....I get to Natchez....it got 2 bridges--i'm pretty sure both of em is for leavin Louisiana in a hurry....

/

somehow i zigged when i shoulda...................guess i crossed the wrong bridge..........

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....Political correctness claims another landmark......this Lady was a black lady in 1955 when my parents took me here to eat pancakes covered with cane syrup...she was the fore-runner of Ihop back in the day......good pancakes.......great cook/chef......

DAT BE IT UNTIL TOMORROW WHEN I GOES BY THE SOOOOOOOOOPA DOME ON THE WAY TO HOUMA lOUISIANA TO MEET FORDMAN4X492 & THE OTHER MEMBERS......
.

**********Day 2 of the Relay.........Tagggggggggggggggg......i'm it! Again......Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa************

O.K........It's tomorrow--which would be today, Sunday.....I started at the Sooooopa Dome, but the thang is so big i couldn't get but a slice at a time with the '36 in front of it....I circled it a couple times (no...not from the interstate), but no TRS guys flagged me down....here's a hi-way shotthru the windshield Miss-sippi bugs & all.....

here's the slice................................................

another lil slice....................................

time to get a shot of the speedometer before I leave New Orleans.......I's up to about 580 miles....over half-way..........

all-right........i'm heading soutwest from New Orleans across the neck-deep/alligator snappin/water moccasin infested/mosquitoe inhalin'/pride & joy of the south........Louisiana swamps (pronounced: swam-pssssssss )..........

of course you notice the road is elevated to keep the big ones from sleeping on the warm concrete at nite.....

yep.....another bridge.....if i had known they was still connecting the suspension cables on the other end of it---i'da tooken the ferryboat.....

you see that big bug splatter on the right side of the pic......I nearly had to run off the road to hit that one!

I made it to Houma.....Tiliob...was waiting for me with his special friend.......

Noooooo.......not the truck.......wrong pic........

O.K. People.......lean back in your chairs at least 2 feet........so your eyeballs don't hit the coputer screen!

O.K........everybody leanin back???? Her......oooops........HERE goes........

BAM!!!!! another one!!!!!

mo bridges means mo members.........

here's fordman4x492 with his dad in i-forgot-Louisiana......

Berwick......yeah........Berwick LA>.................(by now i'm too dizzy/LA. asphalt bouncin' drunk to realize he ain't lookin at the camera.......)

Up the road another hour to Lafayette LA. to see bad-------bad-------baddad & his little white monster...He's signing while me & cajunman is watchin for poleece....

here's cajunman signing his tru.........name on the Banner.........

nuff ridin for 2 dazes.............i'm back at home........WOMAN!!! GIVE ME TWO PILLOWS.....I mean.....TWO PILLZ!!!!! NOW!!!!!!!

NOTE: The preceding events may or may not have happened...

The individuals involved were all paid actors...

I wish i would have left that 3" of extra travel in the front end.....

My thanks to all the folks who did not make fun of me (to my face)
.

'36 getting ready to leave for Gulf Coast......

OHHHHHHHHH-No-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o........I-10 runs directly into the Gulf of Mexico at the end of Mississippi!!!!

Well the highway went out about 200 feet into the Gulf & circled back to Mississsippi......

It aint a Sonic Drive-In, but I guess we'll eat lunch here......

End of the first day at Beau Rivage hotel next to the Hardrock cafe....

Naturally a Sonic Drive-Inn is involved for breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks....

A night shot that didn't get deleted.....

A fast pic next to the beach....no tar-balls on the beach for a month.......

A lighthouse in Gulfport Miss,...............................................

Well....my "Boss" made me drive her SUV on the second weekend trip to the beach.....(she said I had enuff fun putting 900 miles on the Ranger when I was escorting the TRS Ranger Banner around Loo-z-anna.....)
