I have a 88 ranger super cab with a 6" suspension lift and i want to take the add a leaf out of it.it is so stiff and dose not flex like it should.so im going to take it out but im going to loose some lift it wont be level,do i need to get 4" blocks and put those in with out the stock blocks or 6" blocks:icon_confused:

blocks bad. get some 63" chevy springs and some bell tech drop shackles

unless you are running bigger than a 35" tire you don't really need 6" in the back, just something that flexes better. Blocks are bad because the add a bigger "lever" to the spring and make it easier for the axle to bend the spring. 4" blocks would work with trac bars welded to the axle and the frame but still not as good as the right spring for the job. if you need to add your 1" (or is it 2") factory block back in with the chevy springs, but I am not sure if that has been tried. be glad...... a 4" old man emu kit for my LandCruiser is around $3000. I plan on using chevy springs and custom chackles for its lift.
