do these systems actually do anything to prevent rusting? i looked at a truck that had one and it looked fairlly clean, there was a little rust starting on the rear doors but nothing to bad. how would it work? and would it also stop the salt?

it slows its down, I've seen a '95 dodge with it, and it stayed in decent shape for a dodge untill he parked it in his backyard and the thing quit working. Problem is you gotta start using it right from the get go because if its already started rusting than all bets are off. As for stopping salt, doubtfull, salts still gonna get in between panels and rub the coating off, only thing that really helps there is getting someone who knows what their doing to rustproof your vehicle (not ziebart, they halfass it).
