this is my 1988 ranger 2.9L 4x4 5spd.

I purchased it with a 4" lift and a 8.8 axle swap (90% sure its an 8.8).

I have fixed all oil leaks, fixed windshield leak, fixed floor pans (new metal to come after winter), replaced and repaired body mounts and radius arm bushings, installed new 31x10.5x15" bfg mudterrains, tune up, ALL fluids changed, spruced up the interior by cleaning, painting, replacing, strengthened rear bumper (broke off while offroading), brush bar, new door hinge.

recently my clutch has began to slip and my front axle blew out so more to come.

also check out my youtube channel at: http://www.youtube.com/user/theggyster

the truck isnt perfect but it's still pretty awsome.

today I changed the hinge. got it on kijiji for a steal at $10. since it's my dd it drives me crazy to lift the door every time I get in or out. its really tight now and closes great.

you should just give me that truck....:D

my b day is in july....

ok new update. i originally blew out my front u joints and replaced them. while replacing them i lincoln locked the front end. seemed good at first until i blew out both front u joints at the same time about a month ago. i am sick and tired of dumping cash into the d28 so i was going to go with a d35. well i got a good deal on a d44 and 9" so let the swap begin. i will post pics soon.

if anyone has any suggestions now is the time.

only thing i suggest is at least a 4.0 after your recovered from the 44 swap.

you gonna run coils?

basic search here will net a good cross of builds to study.

for now the axles came with a set of coils so coils it is. my biggest issue is getting the steering set up. i want it to be decent but not break the bank and hopefully it'll be adjustable. may just use stock drag links but seems only mediocre at best to do that.

recently added a new bumper. pretty simple but i think it looks good and its very durable and pretty light.

next to come is the winch, dana 44, 9". doubtful if i can get time this weekend cause gonna be too busy. really sucks. only been 4wheeling once this year and busted my front axle.

it's been fore ever since my last post. so much has changed on my truck. i've done a dana 44 9" swap. still running my factory 3.73 gears and 31" mud terrains though. also got in so much offroading in these past weeks. here are some updated pictures of what i've done. sorry for the bad quality but its mostly just cell phone pictures.
