Well, FAZDA was great, but things have turned for the better. Just picked up this 03' Ranger. I quickly dubbed thee white lighting. Just because this is a very "quick" truck. Mind you, I'm used to the 3L.......lol

4.0 SOHC
5r55e
D35/8.8 4.10 gears
Extended Cab
Vinyl Floors
100K

Great start for a decent build. This won't be an off-road truck per-say, but be able to hold it's own if need be.

Planned work....for now:

Tune up
Fluid Changes
RF wheel bearing needs replaced
Powertrax lock-right or no slip for rear.
Mount Hella 500's.
Tool Box
Hitch

Nope, later Rangers still have a D35 differential, just not TTB.

Dana 35 ifs unfortunately. Where are you going to mount the lights? Front end or the roof? Any forced induction? :D

Man.....if I had money to throw at one, a super charger sitting on top of the SOHC would be freakin sweet!

Here is what I did with the lights:

The kit is a Hella 500FF kit.

Had to notch out the top half to mount the lights. Really wouldn't work mounting them right side up. So, I mounted them upside down.

Close up:

Lights mounted up:

Ran the wiring and stuff....boring.....BUT....

This is cool........the hella switch fits right where the lighter goes:

Then here's the finished products.

I like it, works well with the honey comb grill.............

i like it. looks like you could use a twist on the t-bars so the back isnt so high looking. no to level but......make it a bit closer haha. otherwise i like the lights and it looks good behind the grill on those trucks

Good looking truck, but I will miss the Fazda.
Me too. Mostly just the character. One thing I won't miss is the lack of creature comforts.....lol. A/C is awesome!

I agree. As soon as I get the RF wheel bearing replaced and shocks on it, it's getting some cranks and an alignment.

Keep up the good work 44! Nothing like a nice clean build:icon_thumby:
I appreciate that. This is the cleanest truck I've owned. It's different actually having something that worth washing and taking care of......:icon_twisted:

Getting some great MPG numbers.

Just managed 21.75 MPG doing 60mph over most of a tank. That's all highway. Filled up at the same pump I usually do. Pretty damn good!

With mixed in town the best I've managed is 19.6 MPG. Still darn good.

How the hell did you manage that?!? I get 15 on a good day with basically the same truck aside from mine being an FX4.
