Well, here I am. Commiting a mortal sin according to my father, a die hard GM man.

Oh well, when you are a GM mechanic since 1969, I guess some brand loyalty is to be expected. :)

Anyway, I live in BC, have been on BC4x4 for a bit but I find the info there is lacking.

My current ride is a '94 MazdaRanger B4000, 4" lift, Milemarker manual hubs, 4.0L 5 sp.

No other mods....yet.

Once I get the POS motor plucked and one that actually works installed, and the electronic transfer case changed to a manual one, I will be a much happier man.

Hobbies are surfing porn, porn, nekkid women, nudity..

Oops! Wrong forum.

Let's try again.

I am into martial arts, fishing, boating, skiing, mountain biking, pretty much anything outdoors related. I am an active member on FishBC.com, FlyBC.ca, and NSMB.com

Please be patient with me. Although my father is a mechanic, he did whatever he could to disuade me from getting into the trade, or even getting involved with auto repair period. Maybe it was for the better, but when dealing with off road autos, and older, out of warranty trucks, I am wishing he would have let me hang around the hood a bit more.

I am not a fragile on-line personality, and trust me, I can give as good as I can get. You will find I can be a sarcastic kind of sot, but there is no evilness intended. If I have something to say to a person directly, I will do it off the board.

I look forward to checking out this forum. I have been told there is lots of info to be found, and some great people here.

Cheers,

Tim...wow! Long first post. :)

welcome to trs!!!!! sounds like you will fit right in....

I like the intro! Sounds like you'll have fun hanging out with us nuts. Seriously, there's a lot of cool people here and tons of info.

Welcome and enjoy.

Thanks for the welcome.

Bellingham, huh? I go there quite often. Spent many a day mountain biking around Galbraith.

A good friend of mine lives in Mt. Vernon. He is involved with the NHRDA.

So, are you an Ozzy fan, or are named Osbourne or something like that?

Tim...called Ozzy during his misspent youth.

I will do my best to fit in.

Or at least that is what I tell my girlfriend. ;)

I'll get on the voting anon.

Tim...wonders if Florida will be allowed to cast a vote?

PS: Just noticed the Zuki forum has more votes than TRS. I wonder if they just gave them a vote for every Zuke out there? Kind of like a pity vote?

Welcome to TRS. I'm a bit sarcastic too, It usually gets me in trouble.
There are TWO of them darn zuki sites that keep beating us up for position. I made the point a while ago about there being way more Rangers out there than zukis, How could we be behind.
My Dad knows nothing about cars, Yet he still tried to talk me out of it. Sometimes I wish I would have listened. The life of a mechanic is not very glorious. The pay is not very good yet everyone says they have to pay to much for repair.
My youngest son is very Mechanically inclined, I'm going to try NOT to disuade him. Instead I'll back him 100% in whatever it is he wants to do (unless it's something gay).
People get on here thinking we can teach them everything about a Ranger in one setting yet they ask the same question three times. I don't mind answering any question but, It will be refreshing to have someone that understands what you are trying to tell them.

Crap. You too? Maybe we can save each other a seat in the penalty box?

Maybe because the 4 Zuke owners have nothing else to do with their time. After all, you must have a motor to get going anywhere, and we all know Zukes makes motorcycles and boat motors, not auto motors.

I think he hoped I would go on to better things than him. Who knows, maybe I would have become a mechanical engineer if encouraged.

Then again, maybe I would be working at Minute Lube greasing ball joints and trying to upsell you into synthetic oil.

As it sits, I am selling mountain bikes.

Oh where did he go wrong?

Tim...a tire change is still a tire change, no matter the size.

LOL My son is 5 and very mechanically inclined. If he ever told me he was going to become a hair dresser or an interior decorator I wouldn't be able to discourage him - because I would probably have dropped dead. I'm a tech too and my dad always wanted me to be in the trades. Instead, I went off to university and got a bachelor's degree in english. After working shitty jobs that I hated, I came to my senses and went to trade school.

Welcome to the site. Questions are welcome. I'm always glad to help out. All you have to do is ask.

Hmmm... you sound pretty local to my area. I've been around the vicinity since '79 (moved from Alaska when I was 13.) I moved to Mount Vernon/Burlington after highschool and stayed there 'til '99.

...And yeah, I listen to a lot of metal, specifically Sabbath and Mr. Osbourne.:icon_hornsup:
