8.8 carrier, 4:88's

Will a 4:10 carrier take 4:88 gears? What's the cut off? Thanks

i forget where the split is but i do know that it is below 4.10. so yes 4.88s will fit on your carrier.

I'm almost positive ford axles do not have carrier breaks.

Ford D35s do NOT have a carrier break, heep D35s do, this has been confirmed on B2.org from someone installing 4.56s in a 3.27 carrier.

The Dana 35 has no carrier break, the 8.8 has a carrier break of 3.55:1

NEITHER axle has a carrier break.

Yup, 4.88 will bolt in no problem but, requires a modified cross pin.
someone on here once said "any 8.8 gear will bolt in any 8.8".
