On this 86 B2 2.9 I have replaced the distributor with pickup module, TFI Module, coil with new units. Still have no spark. I did a spark test with a spark plug attached to the main coil wire that leads to the distributer cap and showed no spark or voltage present at all. I checked the hot lead to the coil (red wire) and im showing matching battery voltage there but there is no ground showing from the TFI module to the coil. Before replacing the above it started and stalled after warm up then conked out. This led me to believe the TFI module had become defective as this is 1 of its symptoms when it croaks. I still dont get ground from the TFI to the coil. Tomorrow I am going to replace the ground wire from the TFI to the coil and see if this resolves the problem. Any suggestions as to what this might be if this trial does not work? Please help.
