It's going to be time for me to do the rear brakes on my 88 Ranger. Does anyone know off hand if 1988 had the 9 or 10 inch rear drums? BTW it's a 4X4.

Thanks in advance.

From the Tech Library:

Rear:
The Ranger uses a 9-inch rear drum. Limited slip rear axles and vehicles with a GVWR over 4580 pounds use a 10-inch drum.
