I've thought about it, but never done it. the case backhoe and forklift at my work have a neat hand brake that has an adjuster built into the top. shouldn't be to hard to set up, just make sure you have a solid mount, it would probably tear the floorboards if you just bolted it on.

I have considered it, Just never got around to it yet.

I would suggest going to the junkyard, and finding something with a lever you like, and using that.
from there, its going to be a matter of hooking up the cable.
I wouldnt worry about the indicator light.

My credo
A properly suspensioned Ranger can be safely airborne for up to 4 seconds at a time! =:O
Hand brake would be GREAT!

Had one on the old Mazda B2000 (aka Ford Courier)... a true EMERGENCY brake, and not just a parking brake, i.e. one-handed operation.

Added bonus: it didn't activate the tail lights, so if some lamer was tailgating, you could bring 'em in REAL close, LOL... figure if they have to change their shorts, maybe they'll change their behavior. ;missingteeth;

Yeah but it sucks when a light fender bender leads to your vehicle being totalled cause it isnt worth enough.
