hey i took my trans out and took shifter out of trans in 1st gear i think how do i get it back it. i can place it in east but i cant shift then
installing shifter on 2.9 5spd

you just have to put it back together with the shifter in 1st gear. judging by the year you have an m50d? you just gotta install it with the little arm in the right position.

get the trans into neutral THEN reinstall the shifter.
chock the wheels, press the clutch pedal and pry the little socket out of first

got it thanks guys now my trucks in my garage and the 4.0 is bolted in now just wire here in and run it
