welding on steering componants

So whats the general opinion on welding on steering ?? I see and like this :

and I know the super runner steering is welded.
I am talking about street driven vehicles here.

no welding to knuckles since they are cast obviously. if its not supposed to move, weld it. if its supposed to move, bolt it in double shear if possible. only weld it if you really know how to weld. if you dont, fab it and take it to someone who does. just my .02.
