I am looking for a good Facotry Assembly manual, with blowups of the parts and part numbers if possible. I have them for my 68 and 69 Camaros and I was wondering if anyone makes a good Factory type manual.
I bought the haynes one and it is next to useless when it comes to major body parts and components.
Thanks in advance.

Assembly manual??? :icon_confused:

Do you mean shop manual? Ford makes a pretty good one if you can find it. Try checking E-bay for the CD versions. They almost always have them.

My Camaro Assembly manuals are the ones they used at the factory to put them together. You can buy them for around 40 bucks. They are a fabulous tool when it comes to restoring a vehicle.
If Ford calls them a Shop manual then that is what I want. I saw a company that sold them for 145 dollars, and the CD for 95. A little to rich for my tastes. I thought someone might make and aftermarket manual.
I will check Ebay. Thanks.

E-Bay, look for the one made by Helms. Unfortunatly, no Ford part numbers as we know them. Very detailed and best there is. Some of those others belong in the out house.

AH, ok. That's a little different, but much of the same info should be available in the shop manuals. The shop manuals are what we use in the dealer shop. They have assembly and disassembly info, along with many exploded diagrams and diagnostic info and aides.

True. But the Chilton is the lesser of 2 evils and has better info than Haynes. It does in a pinch and when ya don't have green to afford the real thing.

+1 on the Haynes. I expected a lot more from it. It sounds like the shop manual is what I am looking for. So damn expensive though. The ones for the Camaro look like somone photo copied the orginal. They are hit an miss on the copyiing. The exploded views are what I want. Thanks for the help guys. I will try to find another cheaper source for the manuals.
