Does anyone know if a '91 3.0 2wd spindle will work on my '92 3.0 2wd Ranger? I have always thought that it would, but I have been given two different opinions. Thanks so much.
Do you have 4 wheel ABS? That was rare or nonexistent in 1991. All or most vehicles had RABS. And the steering knuckle has to know about it, so you can mount the sensor.

I only have rear wheel ABS on my truck.

So does anyone think that a '91 2wd Ranger front (rear ABS) spindle will be compatible with my '92 2wd Ranger front (rear ABS) spindle? Thanks very much as I'm going to try and pick one up at the junkyard on Saturday. The junkyard guy said it would be fine, but I'm hoping that someone around here might have some experience in this area.

I don't have personal experience, but these things are relatively interchangable, I can't see why they would be different

Thanks. I can't find a '92 spindle in the area, so I guess it's either the '91 or have a '92 shipped in from elsewhere.

Unfortunately the junkyard couldn't find the '91 and all I can find nearby is a '94.

on the 94, is everything else still the same? RABS only? 2wd? if so then i believe that it will fit.

Great! Good to hear. The guy at the junkyard wasn't too sure either. Thanks.

Great! Good to hear. I think it's 2wd rear ABS also. The guy at the junkyard wasn't too sure either. Thanks.

2wd ranger spindles are the same from '89-94.
'95 they changed the spindle for the two piston brakes.
'88 and earlier used a different balljoint setup.
