So last week i drive from Ohio to Pittsburgh PA. OH. Turnpike $5, PA Turnpike $3.90. So I come home, PA. Turnpike $0.00, OH Turnpike $5. The question is why does PA. charge you going in but not coming out? :dunno:

The short answer is that the PA Turnpike commission is full or rar-tards.

The long answer involves things I don't understand.

Ohio sucks and if we charged you to go back home, you'd never leave PA. :thefinger:

Seriously, PA reconfigured most of the Turnpike a few years ago to save money in a rare bit of common sense from government. They removed the toll booths at most of the exits and replaced them with toll lanes in the middle of the Turnpike every 20 miles or so and there is no waiting time at the exits. Depending on your commute, you might not have to pay anything at all. Therefore the Turnpike Commission needs many less unionized toll takers earning $80k+ a year with some overtime. Also the new system rocks if you have EZ Pass, which means the Turnpike Commission needs many less unionized toll takers earning $80k+ a year with some overtime.

Thanks. I guess it makes sene to have a toll booth every 20 miles.
