hi everybody,
i have a 90 ranger 2.9. i was wondering if there's any muffler (im still in high school an looking for something relatively cheap) that i can put on and not have it sound like a ricer. ive seen videos on other rangers like mine and i dont like the way they sound. i was looking at glass packs and also saw this

Dude... that is a fart can not a truck exhaust. I would get a straight through type muffler like a glasspack or a magnaflow or an oval with no packing like a flowmaster. They are a bit pricier but they would sound really good compared to that muffler.

Cut out the muffler and put in a straight pipe...i know someone will bitch about the legality of this, but the PO (previous owner) did that to my truck and it sound GREAT! Its loud but not annoyingly so, and nobody has complained...definitely the easy/cheap choice.

+1 on the Flowmster 40, they sound great! They are not as straight through as a glassback but unlike the previous comment on them, they do not have any packing, just chambers...

Yeah, and it also robs all of your power. Thrush turbo muffler at advance auto (or anywhere else) $20 bucks and sounds great.

you wont notice a difference in power between the two with the butt dyno...just go with whichever suites your wants/needs.
