So, I'm going to finally start my build thread:headbang:

This is my BII the day I picked it up.

I picked her up for $1,300 with 113,000 miles and brand new paint. Plans are to do a 4" suspension lift with 31s then later on do a Dana 35 and 8.8 swap with some 4.56 gears front and rear, and a lock right in the rear as well.

First thing I did was replace the old valve cover gaskets, the old ones leaked real bad.

Cleaned the valve covers up a bit

I also did a full tune up, this thing runs great:icon_hornsup:

damn, that's one slick b2 you got there. great deal too, $1300 for an EB with 113K, NICE!!
there are people around here that list crappy b2's with 175k for over $2,000.
this thing is gonna look good lifted

Thanks,

I'm going to be starting on the lift tmrw, at the vary least get the rear done. I have an explorer sport shaft I'm going to use to replace the crap CV shaft, it needs to be shortened and I want to lift the rear before I take any measurements. If that goes well then I will start taking the front out:headbang:

I'll post some more pics later of my wheels and tires and what not.

what lift are you using? i'm trying to decide which i wanna use right now. cost will be the ultimate factor, so it'll probably be the rough country one. i'm also thinking about doing 2" coils, shackles in the rear and a 2" body lift

I have the rough country for now, eventually I'll up graded to skyjacker brackets.

A little while ago I wen to the JY to see what they had for the BII. I found a brush guard and new seat mount that I thought would be cool to have.

This is the brush guard off an 86 ranger, picked it up for $40:headbang:

Nice and clean now!!

MORE TO COME

Speaking of throttle bodies, I think theres a write-up in the Tech Library on how to put a 5.0 throttle body on a 2.9, dont know what it all takes to do that, but should help with performance.

Have to say thats one of the better BII I have seen.

thanks man, I thought about putting an 86 or 87 throttle body on. They are larger then the 88 and up 2.9s but I decided to keep it stock under the hood for now anyway. lol

So here are the wheels and tires I bought back in December. 31" BFG All Terrains on some black powder coated 8" Crager wheels. Saw a BII on here with this wheel and tire combo and fell in love with the way they look on a BII!!

Then I had my buddy mount and balance them at his work for FREE:icon_hornsup:

Picked up a K&N air filter and stock it on. It flowed a lot better and sounded mean when you step on it, but for now I took it off until I can make some kind of heat shield around it. That way I'm nut sucking in hot air!

All the stock air box components the K&N replaced

I hacked the intake tube and swapped locations with the battery

Like I said I'll put it back on when I build a heat shield for it... someday

A couple weeks ago the right front brake caliper locked up on my when I was on my way to go camping:annoyed:

So I took this opportunity to get all brand new brakes:headbang:
My buddy that mounted and balanced my tires hooked me up again with all new brake pads, rotors, and calipers for both sides for $150:icon_hornsup:

Here are the old roasted pads, see the cracks?? lol

Now the new brakes!
