Does the Haynes manual give procedures for testing sensors?

What type of sensors do you want to test? Some sensors can be tested for continuity or resistance with an ohm meter.

None in particular, I was just wondering if the Haynes manual has procedures for testing any of the sensors or electrical components. Maybe numbers or "good" ranges when using an ohm meter? I'm not really sure how it works.

Yes, it does. I recommend getting one. You'll need it for other stuff too anyway.

Yes, for SOME sensors. Not anywhere near all of them.

The Mitchell books are quite a lot better for stuff like this. They also include tables of "normal" computer input readings at several road speeds.

I haven't heard of the Mitchell books. Always happy to check out another technical reference. I Googled Mitchell manual but didn't find anything. Where can I find it?

Google Shop Key. There should be a free trial. I use it all the time at work and it gives very explicit instructions for testing sensors.

I didn't see any free trial mentioned, just weekly, monthly and yearly fees, and that was for each vehicle. Is there a place or site to get manuals on CD, that are better than Haynes or Chilton's?
