yours may not be threaded at all. a lot of rbv's shifter knobs are just "glued" on and you just have to pull it off. and it is way harder to do than said. prepare to have a busted knuckle or two.

Most aftermarket shifter have the little locknut setup. And alot fo them come with a silicon or plastic sleeve for fitment so you should just be able to pull one off and slide the other on.
