Hey Guys,

I just bought a 1996 B2300 SE Manual trans. I plan on painting it and doing a small lift and larger tires / wheels. I don't off road often so I'm mainly lifting it for looks, nothing too crazy I just want to give it a tougher look. any suggestions?

Hey a fellow 96'er!

Your truck looks great. And I'm in the same boat. I want to do something with mine, but I don't know what yet. Want to paint it, but I love the stock color. I'll be watching this tread to see what kind of responses you get.

It's a 2wd so a suspension lift is like 12 dollars, haha.

I'd start with some 2in spacers, and a lift block in rear.... kinda go from there. No point doing a body lift to a 2wd because you can go as high as you want with suspension.

I like my bull bar...... and xm radio, trailer hitch, tinted windows, bedliner, and 4wheel disk brakes on explorer diff with (soon to be 4.56) 4.88 gears, with 33's, what more in life do you need?

btw paints overrated.

a 2" susp lift like white beard Frank suggested and some 30 or 31" tires would look great on your truck.

Thanks guys! im installing the alarm system and stereo today and i got a new oem grill, i think im going to clear coat it and put some mesh in the slots. A 2 inch suspension lift sounds like a good idea, is that something i can do by myself without a spring compressor?
