Changing formats

i just put a video together using windows movie maker, i went to put it on myspace and i couldn't find it when browsing for it cause it didn't fit the file type they exept. So i go to youtube was able to get it and downloaded, then when i went to look watch it, it had Video Failed ( needs to be .wmp format) SOOO how do I go about changing the format???? this is my first video don't know much about them.

Hmm, I thought for sure Youtube took .wmv, which is what you should be saving as in Movie Maker. If it takes .flv, you can convert it following these steps to put on both myspace and youtube:

oops, when I save the video from window movie maker it saves it as (Untitled.MSWMM) and youtube needs .wmv sorry!! I just double checked, told ya I don't know what i'm doing.

Ok, you must be selecting Save Project As.. You need to choose Save Movie under the menu options. Then it will let you choose your resolution and it should save it as a wmv.

Well its going to half to wait till tomarrow im not on the same computer thats its on. I called my brother to have him e-mail it to me but it was blank except credits. i think its because none of the pics or the song are saved to this computer. so i'll go to the main coputer tomarrow and do it from there insted. damn it's almost not worth the time. this will prolly be my last video.

Well, it really doesn't take too long once ya know the basics, until ya start adding in better effects and stuff anyway.
