Just replaced wires/plugs on a GM 3800 V6, and would you know I pulled the crimped ends out of five of the six wires! :annoyed:

I couldn't tell what brand they were (triple silicon) but that is just shit. Yes I did pull by the boot.

I replaced them with NAPA Beldens with the "life of the engine" warranty(as long as you keep your receipt!)

Could I have done better?

I think over time, any spark plug wire would do the same. My orginal Motorcraft wires did the same. And the Bosch wires I have now also did the same when I changed the spark plugs. To hopefully prevent this from happening again, I coated the inside of the boot with dielectric grease. I'll find out how well that will work after another 25k miles when I replace the wires and spark plugs.

I stick to Motorcrafts because they are the only ones that don't do that after a year. I know they all do it eventually, but Motorcrafts are the best ones so far.

As long as you go branded vs private label you should be okay. I've used a lot of brands including Motorcraft which I love and currently have NGK wires on with NGK Iridium plugs.

I have a set of the napa's like yours ive had them for almost three years and haven't had any problem with removal.
