hey how do u get the main wire harness out of the fire wall and how much of the harness do i need to swap from 2.9 to a 4.0

What year 4.0? Going into your '90 2.9?
There should be a big plug on the drivers side firewall, it has a 10MM bolt that holds it in. Back out that bolt and the big plug will unplug.
You need the harness from the big plug on the drivers side, all the way around the engine bay, behind the motor and radiator, through the passenger side firewall and to the computer.
Every swap is different though, and it all depends on what year donor vehicle you have
